Situation

Marine Brand Transformation

Raymarine—a legacy brand in marine electronics—needed to do more than compete; they needed to dominate the saltwater fishing space. The category was cluttered with feel-good imagery: sunny days, smiling anglers, and calm seas. But real fishermen? They earn their reputation when conditions are anything but calm.

Unruled identified the gap: authenticity. We saw an opportunity to reposition Raymarine from a utility brand into a badge of honor for the hardcore angler. Because when the weather turns, and the waves rise, only the bold go out—and they do it with Raymarine at the helm.

What We Did

Tactics Deployed

Manifesto Video

We created a bold, no-BS :30 manifesto that flipped the script on traditional fishing content. Instead of calm seas and sunshine, we spotlighted chaos, commitment, and raw determination—positioning Raymarine as the gear you trust when everything else turns against you.

Social Content

We developed a suite of gritty, high-engagement social assets that spoke directly to hardcore anglers. Every line, every frame reinforced one message: if you’re not fishing through the storm, you haven’t earned your strikes.

Tradeshow Booth

At ICAST, we built an immersive booth experience that demanded attention. From stormy visuals to unapologetic messaging, we brought the campaign to life in a way that made Raymarine impossible to ignore—and impossible to forget.

Digital Ads

We launched targeted digital ads that didn’t just drive impressions—they drove intent. With bold visuals and straight-talking copy, our creative cut through the noise and pulled the right audience deeper into the campaign.

Print Ads

We created print ads built to hit hard. Bold imagery and no-nonsense copy spoke directly to serious anglers. These weren’t designed to blend in—they were made to stop readers cold and remind them: if your gear can’t handle hell, it doesn’t belong on your boat.

The “Earn Your Strikes” campaign just hit the water—but early signals are already pointing to major impact. Initial response has been overwhelmingly positive, with high engagement across social media and strong buzz from the ICAST launch. Raymarine’s gritty, no-nonsense positioning is cutting through the noise, especially with hardcore anglers who see themselves in the campaign’s raw authenticity. Lead gen participation is ramping up fast, and media placements are driving a noticeable uptick in brand visibility. As performance data continues to roll in, one thing is clear: Raymarine has officially reentered the conversation—not as a brand for fair-weather fishermen, but as the gold standard when conditions turn brutal.
