Task
How do you show what thermal imaging can do? Shoot the entire campaign in thermal. Teledyne FLIR wanted to showcase the power of its thermal technology in the environment where it matters most: on the water.
Instead of demonstrating the product through a conventional marine shoot, Unruled built the entire campaign around FLIR’s technology. The idea was simple, ambitious and potentially a category first: create a screen-ready commercial filmed entirely through thermal imaging. The result was Sea Differently—a campaign that turns heat into the visual language of the story, revealing an ocean conventional cameras can’t see.
That meant rewriting the rules of a traditional ocean shoot. Changing temperatures, shifting weather, machinery, people and marine life all became part of the image. And because the camera system wasn’t designed for cinematic production, the team had to develop entirely new ways to shape what appeared on screen—including using heat guns and ice packs to manipulate temperature and create the desired imagery.

In just 72 hours, we built three full brand libraries, capturing over 100 assets engineered for launch across digital, retail, and social. Delivered ahead of schedule and perfectly timed for ICAST, APB walked away with a ready-to-deploy content suite that checked every box—performance, versatility, and brand alignment. This wasn’t just a fast-turn production. It was proof that content can be smart, strategic, and wildly effective without sacrificing speed. The kind of work that powers year-round campaigns, fuels retailer rollouts, and keeps momentum moving long after the boats dock.
